Power, as Christians we want God to grant us power. Power to preach, teach, lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, do missions work. And God wants to give us power but He wants this divine power to be rooted and grounded in love, His love. Nothing misrepresents God as much as when His servants minister without His love. John writes in 1John 4:1-16 that we should test the spirits to see if they are of God. Then he goes on to talk about how to discern what is of God, love that God is love. We speak the truth in love, we minister in His love, we prophesy in love. Ephesians 3:14-21 explains that the love of God surpasses our intellect. God’s love defies logic. But God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask Him. So ask Him today to give you divine revelation of His love and then give it away. There’s plenty more where that came from.
