Did you know that Jesus quoted the Book of Isaiah during the most public times in His ministry? Through Isaiah God expresses His love, forgiveness, mercy, and tenderness toward His people. There are some awesome verses that will help you relax and enjoy what God has done for you. And you can mentally and emotionally stop scratching that itch that you think about! Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 44:22 says “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud, And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” God is very thorough, He has taken care of transgressions and sins, did you catch that? Transgression is the technical term for willful deviation from the path of righteousness. It is a premeditated crossing of the line of God’s law. Sin is defined as falling short of God’s standards, to fail, get lost, miss the way, one who keeps missing the mark in his/her relationship with God. And the word redeemed means, to ransom, release, redemption by a kinsman, buying back something. So what am I saying?? God has done it all through Jesus! All of it. All of what He knows has to be done. And He did it through our Brother Jesus. Jesus was made a little lower than the angels for a time in order to walk the earth as a man. He identifies with us in our humanity even though He was and is God Almighty. So why are you trying to fix that disposition that God left untouched? Why are you trying to fix that outspoken trait God leaves in tact? Maybe that’s part of your gifting. Your calling. Don’t let people hurt you by criticisms of things that God likes about you! God in Christ has removed transgressions and sin. If you are not in Christ Jesus He says come, repent and all is forgiven and redeemed, like Scripture reveals He is thorough. Then those personality traits that God leaves He leaves for a reason. Relax, stop trying to do something God has already done and trust that those things left He will shape and refine in the image of Christ for His own sake. Enjoy Him and enjoy yourself.
